So Jamie and I finally got married on August 19 and it is now October 30...oops. It's been a crazy busy school year but we're loving it. I still don't have wedding pictures but I should within a week. Hopefully I'll post them soon. Here are some pictures that we took while on our honeymoon. We spent 3 days traveling around Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park. Jamie had never been to either so we figured it would be super fun to go.
We were lucky enough to catch some other tourists at the West Entrance to take our picture.
The Artists' Paintpots were Jamie's favorite spot. Ironically in all the years I have visited Yellowstone I had never stopped here. They certainly were neat and a great starting point to our adventure! I'd recommend them especially because of the view at the top as seen below.
Norris is my all time favorite place in Yellowstone. I don't know why but I love it!
Mammoth Hot Spring was another highlight of our trip. Sadly they didn't have a lot of water flowing over them. I'm hoping we can go back when there is more water so Jamie can see how pretty they are.
I was driving to Old Faithful while Jamie was taking a nap when I had to stop in the middle of the road for this huge bison! After waking Jamie up and worrying if the bison was going to charge our car, I got this amazing picture. It walked right by me and brushed the driver side mirror on its way past.
The second day of our adventure started with a tour of all the springs and geysers around Old Faithful. This is Steamboat Geyser which went off for a good 20 minutes in little spurts. It was fun watching!
This is Grand Prismatic Spring. It's a huge pool of hot water near Old Faithful that was absolutely gorgeous! They had an article about it in the paper that's given to you at the entrance. We were glad we stopped.
This picture was taken in Bozeman, Montana at MacKenzie River restaurant. It has the best pizza and pesto breadsticks this side of the world. I'm so glad we asked for a recommendation. If you ever get the chance to eat here go! We had a wonderful evening in an amazing atmosphere.
We stopped briefly in Grand Teton National Park for this picture on our way home. We also stopped in Jackson Hole to figure out how to get home. Jamie forgot to get directions home and I couldn't remember. Gratefully, we found our way home easily.
This was a familiar sight during our trip. Gladly we didn't have to fill up in the park. This was taken in Afton Wyoming on our way home. It was a gorgeous ride through Star Valley. When the temple was announced earlier this month we were super excited for them.
Well we made it home with a fun adventure and a rock chip. Darn construction! All in all we had a great time.
